Chris was born in Canada but grew up in Belfast.
As a keen sportsman in his youth, representing teams at both county and international level, Chris planned to follow this course to a more professional level. But a mixture of a knee injury combined with being taught by an inspirational drama teacher at Corpus Christi College put him on the path to becoming an actor.
On leaving school he successfully auditioned for Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, graduating in 2000.
Since then he has continued to fulfil his ambition of collaborating with the best directors in film, television and theatre in projects such as the award-winning The Magdalene Sisters (Momentum) The Boxer (Universal) Fifty Dead Men Walking (Brightlight Pictures) and Good Vibrations (Revolver Films).
Chris has starred in some of Northern Ireland’s top independent film productions, such as 2p with Lamb Films, Desecration for the C-Project with Scattered Images, and on a pilot for six-part drama Coast.
In TV Chris has played leads in The Guards (TV3) The Man Who Crossed Hitler (Hardy Pictures for BBC) The Clinic (RTE) The Family (BBC) Missing (BBC) and The Titanic Inquiry, due to be broadcast on the BBC in 2012.
Chris has worked with some of the top theatres and companies in the UK and Ireland. These productions include Of Mice and Men directed by Alan Cohen, What the Donkey Saw directed by Peter Sheridan, and The Laughter of Our Children at the Hackney Empire. Additionally he is proud to have both starred in and co-produced a successful UK/Irish tour of The Wrong Man, which received critical acclaim throughout its run.
